About the Role:

The Transportation Associate is responsible for safely transporting parts, components, and equipment to and from customer, vendor, and company locations and job sites. This role is crucial to the success of Thompson Tractor's operations, and we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transporting palletized loads, hydraulic cylinders, final drives, undercarriage components, and tracks to various locations
  • Safely operating and loading all types of equipment, as well as operating a lift truck in the loading and unloading of cargo
  • Demonstrating initiative, commitment to teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication to finding solutions in an efficient manner
  • Maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly truck, as well as adhering to DOT and Company safety regulations and procedures
  • Ensuring proper documentation for cargo, including MSDS for hazardous materials, and following 5-Star Contamination Control procedures

Requirements:

  • Ability to perform independently under limited supervision
  • Basic safe machine operation and inspection skills
  • Daily vehicle inspections and maintenance skills
  • DOT Regulations knowledge and adherence
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
