Job Title: Installation/Spray Technician

Leonard Aluminum Utility Buildings is seeking a skilled Installation/Spray Technician to join our team. As an Installation/Spray Technician, you will be responsible for installing a wide range of aftermarket automotive parts, including truck covers, accessories, spray-in liners, and window tints on trucks and commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Spray truck bed liners and install aftermarket automotive parts and accessories on customers' vehicles as per specifications and instructions.
  • Conduct pre- and post-quality checks to ensure proper functioning.
  • Mount and balance wheels and tires, aligning them as needed.
  • Install lighting systems, such as LED light bars or auxiliary lighting, for improved visibility.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the installation of truck parts.
  • Connect and wire electronic components, such as backup cameras, GPS systems, and alarm systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and perform repairs as necessary.
  • Fabricate custom parts and brackets when necessary for unique installations.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet installation deadlines.
  • Modify and customize vehicles according to customer preferences and specifications.
  • Provide excellent customer service by providing advice and recommendations regarding accessory selection and installation options.
  • Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and company records, including parts used, labor hours, and any special instructions.
  • Complete accurate work orders and invoices for customers.
  • Stay updated with the latest installation techniques and trends.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by keeping the work area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and supplies.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Operate vehicles safely during the testing and installation process.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification from a vocational school or apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if required to test-drive vehicles).
  • Proven experience as an automotive parts installer or similar role.
  • Paint and body experience preferred.
