Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification from an accredited automotive repair program is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a car mechanic or in a similar role. Experience with a variety of vehicle makes and models is advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Certifications: ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is highly desirable. Other relevant certifications or licenses may be required based on location and job requirements.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Work may be performed in a shop environment with exposure to various noise levels and temperatures.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift heavy objects, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, may be required.
