Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Gundersen Health System. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Examine, evaluate, and assess patients of all ages with medical problems or health-related conditions that limit their ability to move or function with activities of daily living.
Develop and implement plans of care to improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
Provide physical therapy services and elements of patient/client care management leading to optimal outcomes according to the relevant state Physical Therapy Practice Standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care through appropriate and timely methods of communication.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved curriculum in Physical Therapy.
State of Wisconsin Physical Therapist License.
Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Education and Learning:

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved curriculum in Physical Therapy.
Master's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Advanced training in a specialized area of Physical Therapy. Completed a Physical Therapy residency program.

Work Experience:

No experience required.
1 year of experience in a related field.

License and Certifications:

Physical Therapist (PT) licensed in the state(s) of practice.
Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands-on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Board certification in one of eight specialty areas of physical therapy: Cardiovascular and Pulmonary, Clinical Electrophysiology, Geriatrics, Neurology, Orthopaedics, Pediatrics, Sports, and Women's Health through the American Physical Therapy Association - American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (APTA-ABPTS) Board Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA-BOC)
