Position Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the financial and operational efficiency of the organization. This position involves comprehensive budget formulation, variance analysis, and various financial assessments to support informed decision-making.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer to prepare the annual budget.
  • Conduct ongoing budget evaluations and provide explanations for variances.
  • Manage and troubleshoot budgeting software, ensuring its effective use across the organization.
  • Facilitate training sessions on budgeting software for staff.
  • Lead quarterly meetings with department heads to discuss variance reports.
  • Prepare detailed financial analyses for strategic business decisions, including pro formas and cost-benefit evaluations.
  • Compile and present monthly financial statistics, including accounts receivable analysis and investment reports.
  • Develop tools for data tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with state and Medicare reporting requirements.
  • Assist in labor management and benchmarking activities.
  • Support the annual audit process through reconciliations and financial reviews.
  • Participate in various teams and committees to enhance departmental collaboration.
  • Maintain and distribute information related to the cost accounting system.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
  • Provide assistance to Accounts Payable and Payroll departments as needed.
  • Engage in departmental meetings and training sessions.
  • Review and update departmental policies and procedures annually.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Scope:

  • Operating with minimal supervision while adhering to established guidelines.
  • Contributing to the development of new services and processes.

Interpersonal Skills:

Regular interactions with various departments and external stakeholders are expected, often involving sensitive information that requires discretion.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in healthcare financial operations is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial.

Physical Requirements:

This position may involve occasional lifting and extensive computer work. The role is considered safety-sensitive.
