Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Drive strategic development and implementation, focusing on profitability and growth within the nonprofit sector.
- Encourage collaboration across service lines to deliver exceptional client service.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on nonprofit entity returns prepared by the team, aiding in their professional development.
- Conduct tax research and provide guidance on various tax matters.
- Foster teamwork and innovation to enhance the client service experience.
- Mentor and lead engagement teams, offering guidance and career development.
- Maintain and demonstrate technical expertise in the field.
- Seek opportunities for leadership within the firm through involvement in training, recruiting, and process improvements.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience with 501(c)(3) (both public charities and private foundations) and 501(c)(6) clients is essential; familiarity with 501(c)(4), 501(c)(5), 501(c)(6), 501(c)(7), and 527 organizations is advantageous.
8+ years of recent experience in public accounting (or a combination of industry and public accounting) is required, including expertise in a paperless and cloud-based environment, reviewing and signing complex returns, researching intricate tax issues, managing client engagements, supervising project teams, and fostering effective client partnerships.
CPA certification is required.
