Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plastic Extrusion Supervisor to join our team at Cardinal Systems Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Extrusion department, ensuring the highest level of productivity, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Extrusion department, ensuring that production targets are met and exceeded.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards, and implement corrective actions to address any quality issues.
  • Safety Management: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety audits, and investigating incidents.
  • Employee Management: Supervise and train employees, conduct performance evaluations, and address any performance or attendance issues.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, track production schedules, and ensure that materials are available when needed.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Qualifications: Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently, basic knowledge of OSHA, State, and Federal labor laws and regulations, and good understanding of production processes.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position working 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 3:45 PM to 12:00 AM. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
