We are seeking a highly motivated pharmacy professional to lead and oversee our hospital-based outpatient specialty pharmacy, driving operational excellence and delivering exceptional patient care.


Job Summary

The Specialty Pharmacy Manager will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient delivery of medications, maintaining open communication with customers and healthcare practitioners, and providing professional consultation services. This individual will also engage in the planning of new pharmacy initiatives and manage existing patient care programs, ensuring compliance with Cardinal Health standards and accreditation requirements.


Responsibilities
  • Dispensing and Delivery: Responsible for dispensing medications and ensuring their safe and efficient delivery to all customers.
  • Communication and Consultation: Maintains open communication with customers and practitioner sites for consultation and provides professional guidance on medication management.
  • Pharmacy Initiatives: Engages in the planning of new pharmacy initiatives and manages existing patient care programs to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
  • Patient Care: Directly supervises specialty operations as Pharmacist-in-Charge and ensures that pharmacy services meet the needs of patients and healthcare partners.
  • Staff Management: Supervises Pharmacotherapy Clinic staff and ensures adequate staffing levels to fulfill pharmacy needs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensures that pharmacy policies and procedures comply with Federal and State statutes, rules, and regulations governing pharmacy practice.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, a valid Pharmacist's license in Tennessee, and at least 2+ years of pharmacy management experience. The selected individual should demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.


Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
