Violin and Viola Instructor

Duke Health:

As a Violin and Viola Instructor within our String Program, you will play a vital role in nurturing the musical talents of students ranging from elementary to high school age. Your position will require you to engage with students of varying skill levels, guiding them through their musical journey, preparing them for performances, and collaborating with fellow educators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruct students in violin and viola, catering to different levels of expertise
  • Assist students in preparing for individual performances and group rehearsals
  • Oversee orchestra groups and maintain ensemble communication platforms
  • Work in partnership with the String Program team and contribute to meetings and events

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Violin or Viola Performance, or Music Education
  • Familiarity with Suzuki and Traditional teaching methodologies
  • Preferred experience in leading group violin classes
