Job Description

Fnality is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Legal Officer to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice and guidance to support the growth and development of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance on all aspects of our business, including sales and business development activities, new use cases, and regulatory matters.
  • Maintain robust legal arrangements for our payment systems, including system rules and contracts with participants and suppliers.
  • Work with other Fnality entities to align and maintain legal arrangements for interoperations with other systems.
  • Advising on commercial contracts, disputes, and regulatory assessments.
  • Manage legal risk and develop risk-related controls.
  • Oversee the legal function and budget, including determining future strategy in conjunction with the wider Fnality strategy.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 years of professional work experience at a reputable law firm or corporate in-house legal team, with a focus on financial regulatory matters.
  • Strong business acumen and awareness of public policy and technology drivers.
  • Experience in managing external legal advisers and identifying and managing risks across a broad range of legal disciplines.
  • Ability to manage and resolve legal disputes and cover for other members of the executive leadership team.
