Role Overview: The Registered Nurse serves as a vital caregiver for a designated patient demographic, striving to achieve optimal health outcomes. This role emphasizes the development of clinical expertise and the provision of effective direct care as part of a multidisciplinary team catering to a diverse range of complex patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct the care delivered by fellow caregivers through effective delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
- Facilitate seamless patient care and unit operations in collaboration with nursing colleagues, physicians, and support staff.
- Coordinate comprehensive nursing care for patients while engaging in educational initiatives for patients and their families.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, with a commitment to obtain within three years of employment.
- Minimum of six months of relevant nursing experience is required, or active participation in a nursing residency program.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to evolving patient needs, with a strong commitment to enhancing patient and caregiver experiences.
- Exceptional teamwork skills and a dedication to continuous professional development are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- National certification in a nursing specialty is preferred when eligible.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse License is mandatory.
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required within a specified timeframe of hire.
