Critical Care Paramedic

As a vital member of the Emergency Department team, the Paramedic plays a crucial role in delivering both basic and advanced life support to patients in critical situations. This position demands a high level of skill and dedication to patient care, ensuring that individuals receive the necessary treatment and evaluation during emergencies.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive life support treatment and evaluate patient conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and Registered Nurses to identify and stabilize patients who are ill or injured.
- Execute interventions in accordance with established transport team protocols.
- Accurately monitor, document, and communicate patient status and treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on illness management and therapeutic options.
- Maintain and inspect medical equipment to guarantee the safety of patients and the transport team.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Must obtain Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire.
- BLS Provider certification is required within 1 month of hire.
- One of the following certifications is mandatory:
- Paramedic specializing in Flight credential from the International Board of Specialty Certification.
- Paramedic credential from the Florida Emergency Medical Services.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable job-specific experience.
Participation in hurricane response teams is required.
