Job Summary

The Senior Assembly Setup Operator is a key member of our Production team, responsible for performing, defining, and providing instruction for set-up, adjustment, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and operation of complex assembly equipment and existing manufacturing processes to satisfy production requirements in accordance with established product, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set-up, adjust, and operate all machines in assigned area.
  • Operate high precision machines performing required operations.
  • Instruct personnel in the proper setup procedures, including the use of correct tooling, methods for machine adjustments, measuring devices/techniques, process control methods, etc.
  • Solve and/or participate in solution of issues related to process, documentation, machine, and quality, including recommendations for new equipment or processes.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Observe established safe working and housekeeping procedures. Promptly correct and/or notify Supervisor of hazardous situations.
  • Participate in and take proactive roles in AS9100, ISO, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies for problem prevention, corrective action, identification, and solution verification.
Requirements
  • Proven work history.
  • High School diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience performing set-ups on similar production equipment.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
