Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Samaritan Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to our patients, working closely with our medical doctors, physician extenders, and RNs to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care to individuals with routine and standardized needs, ensuring predictable outcomes.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, take and record vital signs, and conduct initial assessments.
  • Schedule and notify patients of appointments and test results in collaboration with physicians, PAs, and ARNPs.
  • Use established protocols to answer patient queries and provide information.
  • Conduct and assist with various medical procedures, including blood draws, injections, and immunizations.
  • Assist with procedures, such as pelvic exams, pap smears, and office surgeries, under the supervision of physicians or RNs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication lists and treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing.
  • Current Washington State License as a Practical Nurse.
  • Current (Healthcare Provider [HCP] level) CPR certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Occasional prolonged standing/walking. Occasional lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Lift/carry a minimum of 25 lbs independently and up to 50+ lbs with assistance.
  • Intermittent exertion when performing treatments.
  • Good reading eyesight.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Competencies
  • Demonstrate competency on equipment listed on department-specific checklists.
  • Critical thinking skills: seek resources for direction when necessary, problem-solve under the direction of a physician, PA, ARNP, or RN.
  • Perform actions that demonstrate accountability, exercise safe judgment in decision-making, and practice within legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Demonstrate competency in ability to care for customers/patients across the age continuum.
