About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Heinen's Grocery Store. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the preventative and daily maintenance of production machinery to maximize production uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order, following company, city, state, and federal regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment, work tools, and facilities to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks to control downtime and maintain equipment inventory.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure product quality, timely availability, and freshness.
  • Assist in the supervision and documentation of contractor activity and performance related to process equipment.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to the production team to improve education, experience, and skill sets.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in a food production repair/troubleshooting position.
  • Proficient in general PC skills and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory agencies and requirements (USDA, FDA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Experience with PLC, electrical systems, HVAC, and pneumatics preferred.
  • Able to follow all necessary safety guidelines and work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to prioritize tasks based on changing business needs.
  • Able to work with a wide range of equipment in a food manufacturing facility.
