Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer to join our team in New York City. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in construction inspection or management of infrastructure construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all activities of the project and ensure full compliance to project plans and specifications.
  • Manage a staff of construction inspectors, office engineers, and administrative staff.
  • Manage the scope, budget, quality, safety, and schedule of work.
  • Maintain custody of all construction-related permits, plans, approvals, drawings, etc., related to the project.
  • Recognize, minimize, or eliminate jobsite and public hazards through required planning, inspection, verification, and corrective action process.

Qualifications

  • Expertise and prior experience with assisting in bringing matters to a prompt resolution as they pertain to standard engineering and construction practices.
  • Strong technical and project coordination skills, written and verbal communication skills, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of construction, project management scheduling, and estimating, and federal and state regulations and industry safety standards.
  • Additional certifications such as OSHA 30, CCM, ENV-SP, PMP, etc. are highly desired.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture from an accredited college.
  • Valid NYS Professional Engineering License (ASCE Grade V) or ability to obtain ASAP.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction inspection or management of infrastructure construction projects.
