We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the State Farm Correctional Center in Virginia. As a LPN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our facility.
Job SummaryThe LPN will be responsible for providing evidence-based nursing care to patients, administering medications, and performing first aid and basic life support as needed. You will work closely with security and treatment staff to maintain open lines of communication and provide input on treatment plans.
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A valid unrestricted Virginia Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) license is required, and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross is also necessary.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and wound care
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other staff members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and medical history
- Perform routine laboratory tests, such as blood draws and urinalysis
- Assist with minor surgeries and procedures as needed
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Valid unrestricted Virginia Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Strong understanding of nursing principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
This is a full-time position with an annual salary range of $60,672 - $78,731. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
