Job Summary:

The Maintenance Shift Supervisor - Operations Lead is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all planned and unplanned maintenance activities for the loading, haulage, drill, and ancillary equipment at OceanaGold. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to work closely with other teams and supervisors within mobile maintenance and other departments across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and direct technicians on all scheduled and unscheduled repair activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
  • Discuss upcoming schedules and plans with peers and coordinate with operations supervisors and dispatchers for all scheduled activities.
  • Assign and distribute work order packages, including standard job plans, single point lessons, and oil sample labels, to technicians.
  • Spent minimum 50% of time on visible felt leadership, interacting with technicians and service contractors.
  • Attend meetings to communicate current machine status, priority, unplanned sick leave, parts issues, required schedule changes, and uncompleted work orders requiring rescheduling.
  • Proactively interact with reactive and PM technicians to support and execute safety and reliability improvements to equipment.
  • Develop crew support for other continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work closely with other teams and supervisors.
  • Experience in maintenance and equipment management.
  • Ability to review and direct technicians on repair activities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
