Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated School Crossing Guard to ensure the safe passage of students to and from school in Leesburg, FL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create safe gaps in traffic to facilitate pedestrian crossings.
  • Effectively control a STOP paddle to provide clear visibility to approaching road users.
  • Regularly attend to duties and maintain mental effort throughout the day.
  • Understand and apply proper crossing procedures, recognizing and handling hazardous situations.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and school employees.
  • Perform related functions as required.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid State of Florida driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Completion of standardized training course and proficiency demonstration.
  • Availability to work shifts before and after school during the public school year.
Working Conditions

This position involves working outdoors, exposed to various environmental conditions, and requires physical agility, visual depth perception, and adequate eyesight.
