Reno Staffing is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic for a custom fabrication facility located in the North Valleys area. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about their craft and looking to advance their career in maintenance.
Work Environment: This position is THC Friendly and is offered by a Second Chance Employer.
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with some flexibility.
Compensation: $22 to $28 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and listen to machinery to identify malfunctions and determine necessary repairs.
- Dismantle equipment to access and replace defective components, inspecting parts for imperfections.
- Conduct inspections of used parts and control instruments.
- Adjust and repair functional parts of machinery and control systems.
- Perform maintenance tasks including lubrication and cleaning of equipment.
- Assemble and test machinery to ensure proper functionality.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Be willing to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Work overtime and various shifts as required.
- Education: Completion of a two-year technical certificate or equivalent experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
- Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic mathematical concepts and their application in practical scenarios.
- Reasoning Ability: Capability to solve practical problems and interpret various forms of instructions.
The physical demands of this role include:
- Regularly standing, using hands to handle tools, and reaching with arms.
- Occasionally walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
All candidates must provide a current resume and participate in an onsite interview. A drug test is required, but candidates will not be tested for THC. A background check is also mandatory for this position, with a policy against violent or theft-related felonies.
