Lead Registered Nurse Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide strong leadership to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical best practices and maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Quality Improvement: Coordinate and manage quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with state licensing regulations, ADHS standards, and CART accreditation requirements.
  • Patient Care Coordination: Oversee the coordination of care for patients, including access to services, medication management, and triage.
  • Clinical Documentation: Ensure all clinical documentation is accurate, timely, and in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Medication Management: Manage the processing, logging, and monitoring of patient medications.
  • Health Education and Wellness Promotion: Lead initiatives focused on health education for patients, covering topics such as the relationship between mental and physical health, the effects of psychiatric medications, and overall wellness strategies.
  • Emergency Response: Act as the first responder in medical emergencies, ensuring prompt and effective action in line with best practices and organizational protocols.
  • Community Liaison and Representation: Serve as a representative of the organization in the community, acting as a Corazon liaison and participating in outreach efforts to enhance patient care and organizational visibility.
Requirements:
  • Education and Licensure: Hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of supervisory or management experience in a clinical setting.
  • Skills and Competencies: Clinical expertise, leadership, communication, technical proficiency, crisis management, and professional conduct.
