Prolec Energy is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 1-2 years previous EHS experience.

Job Overview

The EHS Specialist will be responsible for assisting the EHS Manager with day-to-day department duties, applying EHS knowledge and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives, and achieve short-term and long-term business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain general knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and support incident investigations.
  • Conduct environmental, health & safety tours, audits, & surveys to document compliance status.
  • Collect data, prepare trending analysis, and prepare reports as required.
  • Enforce EHS requirements, communicate with stakeholders, and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain EHS instructions, standard operating procedures, job-specific JSA's & plans as assigned.
  • Manage waste storage areas and coordinate proper disposal.
  • Conduct new hire EHS orientations and other EHS trainings as assigned.
  • Maintain EHS files and records.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 1-2 years previous EHS experience.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
