Vascular Ultrasound Technician

As a Vascular Ultrasound Technician, you will conduct comprehensive vascular ultrasound assessments of patients' lower limbs and other necessary examinations, ensuring a balance between patient needs and the operational efficiency of the clinic. Your role will also focus on providing an exceptional service experience for each patient.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute ultrasound assessments to produce a Venous Flow Map, aiding in the formulation of a safe and effective treatment strategy.
- Collaborate with the Physician to communicate the treatment plan to patients, addressing their specific health requirements.
- Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, examination areas, and ultrasound facilities before and after patient visits.
- Conduct additional ultrasound evaluations as dictated by the Physician's treatment plan to ensure patient safety and treatment efficacy.
- Adhere to established timeframes for each ultrasound procedure to maintain a smooth patient flow throughout the day.
- Work alongside office and administrative staff, as well as Physicians, to manage the ultrasound schedule, ensuring timely and quality patient care.
- Continuously enhance your skills and maintain high-quality work standards in alignment with the company's care protocols through ongoing education and collaboration with fellow Ultrasound Technologists.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and supply inventory to support effective operational practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Ultrasound program is preferred.
- Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RVT / RVS / RpHS) is required, or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and exceptional patient care abilities.
- Capability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

This role involves physical demands that may include standing for extended periods, walking, sitting, using hands for various tasks, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
