About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Middle River Aerostructure Systems. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration machinery and equipment in accordance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lays out, assembles, and installs refrigeration machines and equipment, such as compressors and all adjunct parts working from blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
  • Adjusts and regulates all valves, controls, thermocouples, and thermostats.
  • Starts machine and checks to determine whether machine is operating properly.
  • Diagnoses trouble and performs emergency repairs on all types of refrigeration units.
  • Makes periodic overhaul of refrigeration machines and equipment.
  • Disassembles and inspects component parts for defects.
  • Determines most feasible method to correct any unit for defective parts replacement, machining, alignment, and operation.
  • Determines parts necessary for repairs.
  • Obtains replacement parts from supervisor or draws sketches of parts to be machined.
  • Re-assembles machines, making necessary adjustments in preparation for loading system with refrigerant.
  • Insures proper performance by performing operational check.
  • Maintains refrigerant log.
  • May be required to perform a variety of other tasks within the Maintenance department when not performing the above duties.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • HS diploma/GED equivalent with HVAC Journeyman card is required.
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, and without posing a direct threat to the health or safety of self or others.
