Responsibilities:
The Pharmacy Operations Team Supervisor is tasked with overseeing a dedicated group of Pharmacy Technicians, ensuring the efficient delivery of pharmacy services while coordinating daily operations and workflows.
It is essential to enforce adherence to all relevant policies and procedures, offering constructive performance feedback to management.
The supervisor is responsible for creating work schedules and planning for shift coverage, acting as a mentor by providing training and support. This position also involves maintaining regulatory and departmental records in compliance with all applicable regulations. The supervisor will lead meetings, engage in projects, and work towards optimizing procedures and workflows.Key Responsibilities include:
- Streamlining pharmacy workflows to ensure timely and precise medication dispensing and order processing.
- Developing Pharmacy Technician schedules, managing shift coverage, and reporting attendance to management.
- Implementing proper workflows and providing training and coaching to staff regarding their duties.
- Fostering a collaborative work environment, enhancing relationships within and between departments through effective communication and teamwork.
- Addressing issues within the scope of the role and contributing to innovative solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Delivering timely performance feedback to management for evaluation and action.
- Assisting in the maintenance of regulatory and departmental records.
- Collaborating with Pharmacy leadership to conduct team meetings and training sessions.
- Providing orientation and training for new Pharmacy Technicians.
- In times of need, fulfilling the essential duties of a Pharmacy Technician and supporting other team leader roles.
- Performing additional job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education
- High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmacy healthcare environment required.
- Experience in an inpatient pharmacy setting with the ability to collaborate with interdepartmental teams preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- RXTECH - State of California Pharmacy Technician License required.
- CPHT - Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred.
