Job Summary:

Upstate University Hospital is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic procedures and related functions pertaining to PET/CT examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic procedures and related functions pertaining to PET/CT examinations.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists, Physicists, and Radiation Safety to ensure all equipment, policies, and procedures adhere to ACR standards, manufacturers' recommendations, and NYS Radiation Safety Guidelines.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
    • NYS license/registration in Nuclear Medicine (must obtain within 6 months of limited permit).
    • Registered with Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (must obtain within 1 year of appointment).
    • One year experience as a radiologic technologist, plus current CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • BS in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
    • NYS License/Registration in Nuclear Medicine.
    • Registered with Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).

Work Environment:

Monday-Friday; will be required to work weekends and holidays on a rotational basis. Overtime may be required based on departmental needs.
