Job Description
  • Technical Designer: Lead the design process for various civil engineering transportation projects, preparing calculations and using software such as MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
  • Project Challenges: Work under senior engineers and managers to provide innovative solutions and solve project challenges.
  • Communication: Collaborate with internal and external clients to ensure effective engineering design solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality reviews of design plans, specifications, and estimates.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with others. Experience with multimodal transportation planning and design is a plus.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in roadway/transportation design.
  • NC Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO, NCDOT, and regional design standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and knowledge of microstation.
