Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at International Paper in Compton, CA. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic repairs and installations, as well as troubleshooting and maintaining complex systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex system issues
  • Install and repair electrical and mechanical components
  • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other industrial automation equipment
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure smooth plant operations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • PLC programming experience
  • Experience with conveyor systems and other industrial automation equipment
  • Knowledge of steam systems management
  • Heavy equipment repair experience
