Job Summary:

The Assistant Program Director (APD) is an integral member of our team, responsible for assisting with the general program management and location operation of our mental health programs. This role reports directly to the Program Director and requires strong leadership and communication skills.


Responsibilities:
  • Ensure program compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory standards.
  • Supervise, train, and oversee the performance management of program employees, making employment decisions throughout their tenure.
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates.
  • Develop educational materials, present training sessions, and provide technical assistance to staff members.
  • Coordinate individual program plans and activities to ensure effective implementation.
  • Review financial documentation and perform on-site audits to maintain accuracy and accountability.
  • Lead team meetings and direct daily operations, including incident management.
  • Act as a temporary Program Director in the absence of the incumbent.
  • Analyze data to assess program effectiveness and make informed decisions.
  • Provide emergency coverage and support when needed.
  • Promote a culture of trauma-informed care and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) and participate in treatment team meetings as assigned.
  • Maintain availability for after-hours, weekend, and holiday supervisory rotations with the Program Director and Clinical Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • A master's degree from an accredited institution, with licensure preferred (LCSW, LSW, LPC), or a graduate-level mental health degree with at least one year of experience in the behavioral health field.
  • A valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable vehicle access for trainings, meetings, and appointments.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing circumstances.
