Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety procedures are followed and maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct front-line quality control checks to meet company standards.
- Assist with process mapping and change management.
- Set clear expectations and goals for team members, provide training and support, and measure performance.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and safety.
- Study production schedules and plan production sequences.
- Compose weekly staffing schedules to ensure efficient operations.
- Participate in resource selection and usage to ensure effective operations.
- Confer with management and other departments to coordinate activities.
- Analyze and resolve work problems.
- Initiate personnel actions and disciplinary measures.
- Facilitate daily debriefs with packaging staff.
- Check and approve hours worked by hourly employees.
- Assist in internal auditing and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Check machinery for operational readiness and proper setup.
- Oversee line operations during production.
- Direct changeovers and ensure proper materials and codes are used.
- Review operator quality assurance checks.
- Shut down machinery and equipment at the end of shifts.
- Take case counts and record.
- Make out work orders for repairs or improvements.
- Supervise training of employees in operations, safety, quality standards, and GMPs.
Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- BA/BS in Business, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Strong background in people skills and hands-on front-line supervisory experience.
- Experience in high-speed packaging environments preferred.
- Ability to work any shift, including weekends, as needed.
