Pizza Chef Job Description

**Job Overview:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pizza Chef to join our team at Basin Harbor. As a Pizza Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas for our guests and owners.

**Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and comprehend all rules and regulations set forth in the employee manual and handbook.
  • Review production schedules and recipes daily.
  • Prepare pizza dough, sauce, and toppings as assigned.
  • Practice proper food sanitization and safe food handling procedures.
  • Plan pre-cooking food preparation utilizing safe food handling practices.
  • Use proper cooking equipment to create, bake, and serve menu items.
  • Ensure ongoing food supplied to servers during service hours.
  • Complete daily service data, record daily waste, and complete daily storeroom requisitions as required.

**Essential Qualifications and Competencies:**

  • Prior culinary experience in hotels or resorts.
  • Preferred degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Must be ServSafe certified or able to be certified.
  • Understanding and knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
  • Honesty beyond reproach.
  • Must have problem-solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must be even-tempered and respectful of others.

**Estimated Salary Range:** $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
