JOB SUMMARY
The Pipefitter Helper plays a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of piping systems. This position involves a variety of tasks that ensure the effective and safe operation of plumbing infrastructures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Determines the appropriate type and dimensions of pipes and related materials based on project specifications.
  • Conducts site inspections to identify potential obstructions.
  • Strategically plans the installation sequence to minimize interference with other trades.
  • Utilizes various tools to cut pipes, including hacksaws, pipe cutters, and cutting torches.
  • Employs threading machines to prepare pipes for assembly.
  • Utilizes manual and mechanical methods to bend pipes as required.
  • Installs pipe hangers and brackets to secure piping systems to structural elements.
  • Assembles and installs a range of metal and non-metal pipes and fittings using various jointing techniques.
  • Secures piping systems with brackets, clamps, and hangers, utilizing both hand and power tools.
  • Conducts leak tests on piping systems by pressurizing pipes and monitoring gauges.
  • Handles the loading, transportation, and unloading of materials and tools.
  • Assists in the lifting and positioning of materials during installation processes.
  • Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
  • Adheres to safety protocols and project regulations at all times.
  • Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Demonstrates motivation and a commitment to safe and productive work practices.
  • Responds appropriately to safety alerts and hazards.
QUALIFICATIONS
