Per Diem Nurse

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a skilled and dedicated resource nurse to join our team on a per diem basis. As a resource nurse, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care to ambulatory walk-in infusion patients for various therapy types.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and provide direct patient care to ambulatory walk-in infusion patients.
- Ensure timely and quality documentation in the permanent medical record for clinical, legal, and reimbursement purposes.
- Participate in clinical activities necessary for patients receiving infusion therapy on continuous pumps; for PICC/Midline services; nurse education and specialty drug education as needed.
- Participate in patient/staff education and all other areas of total patient care to optimize outcomes.
**Requirements:**
- Currently licensed in the state of Mississippi.
- Minimum of three years nursing experience and/or one year Oncology experience (preferred).
- Exhibit a broad knowledge and skills in a variety of patient diagnoses and ages as well as infusion therapies.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Competent in IV therapy, chemotherapy, pediatric injection, and pump operations.
