We are seeking a dynamic and creative Music Educator to join our team at SANY's Utica Academy of Science Charter School's Elementary School. The successful candidate will provide engaging lesson plans that conform to the charter's curriculum and collaborate with staff to determine charter requirements for instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality music education to students in grades K-5
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field
- NY State Certification preferred
- Experience working with diverse populations and in urban settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
