We are currently seeking a driven Survey Crew Chief to bolster our operations in the Midwest Region.

The Survey Crew Chief will report directly to the Survey Project Manager and will be expected to travel overnight and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and background check to obtain necessary security clearances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team conducting field surveys as directed by the project manager.
  • Execute the majority of survey tasks with minimal supervision from project leads or Land Surveyors.
  • Effectively communicate with client representatives, regulatory agencies, and public stakeholders to ensure project needs are met; keep client representatives updated on progress and issues, and notify them upon project completion.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with the project manager regarding project status, challenges, client modifications, and completion timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading a survey crew.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in construction staking, boundary delineations, and topographic mapping.
  • Experience in gas pipeline surveying is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
