Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions to formulate nursing diagnoses
  • Implement a plan of care by providing nursing care and education directly or through ancillary personnel
  • Coordinate educational activities and develop individualized teaching and discharge plans with clients and their families
  • Provide hands-on nursing care and supervise ancillary nursing personnel
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to achieve overall goals

Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
  • One year prior professional nursing experience in a rehabilitation setting preferred
  • CRRN certification may be required per state/client contract
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
