Position Overview: The UCSF Department of Medicine is seeking applications for the roles of Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in various series within the Division of Nephrology. We invite individuals eager to contribute to a vibrant academic Nephrology program and enhance scholarship in research, education, administration, or health policy.

**Qualifications:** Candidates must hold an MD degree and be board-certified in Internal Medicine, as well as board-certified or board-eligible in Nephrology. The initial appointment level and the balance between clinical and scholarly activities will be tailored to the applicant's qualifications and career aspirations.

**Clinical Responsibilities:** Responsibilities may include rotating on an inpatient consultation service, managing outpatient care in a specialty clinic, overseeing patients with end-stage kidney disease requiring various forms of dialysis or kidney transplantation, and conducting kidney biopsies.

**Teaching Opportunities:** Involvement in teaching may encompass medical students, residents, advanced practice clinicians, and nephrology fellows.

**Compensation:** The posted UC salary scales establish the minimum pay based on rank and step at appointment. The minimum base salary range for this position is $104,800-$320,100, and it includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which allows for eligibility for additional compensation.
