Job Title: Java Microservices Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Microservices Engineer to join our team at HexaQuEST Global, Inc.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned Java developer to lead the design and development of scalable microservices using open-source Java frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture, as well as experience working with multiple database tools and programming languages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable microservices using open-source Java frameworks
  • Lead a team of developers in the design and development of new capabilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate microservices with Distribution Centers and Warehouse Management Systems
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following secure coding practices and standards
  • Work with Manhattan Associates to lead the design and development of new capabilities
  • Exhibit situational leadership and work with a team to deliver business value
Requirements
  • Over 15 years of experience in Java development, including at least 3 years as a Java Lead
  • Strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
  • Experience working with multiple database tools and programming languages
  • Hands-on experience with Java, JPA, RESTful web services, SLF4J logging, Kafka Topic and consumer, and application configuration management
  • Experience with CI/CD methodologies and tools, including automated testing tools
  • Experience with application monitoring tools, including AppD, Splunk, ELK, and Grafana
  • Experience working in an agile development environment, including Jira, sprint planning, and story point estimation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Manhattan WMoS and Transportation Management systems
  • Experience with Labor Management systems and Integration platforms
  • Basic knowledge of system integration concepts and database query skills
