Position Overview:
LifePoint Health is looking for a dedicated Telemetry Technician to join our MedSurg Department. This is a permanent, full-time role that plays a crucial part in patient monitoring and care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct continuous observation of multiple telemetry monitors.
  • Accurately interpret telemetry strips and document findings in patient records at designated intervals.
  • Recognize significant arrhythmias and signs of patient distress, taking appropriate action as needed.
  • Identify and rectify any artifacts in telemetry readings.
  • Communicate abnormal telemetry findings and changes in patient conditions to nursing staff promptly.
  • Ensure all monitoring equipment is functioning correctly and report any issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; two years of college education is preferred.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 60 days of hire. Completion of a Rhythm Interpretation Class is also required.
