Shelter Advocate

NeighborImpact is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Shelter Advocate to join our team. As a key member of our Shelter Services team, you will play a vital role in providing essential support and services to our clients.

• Develop and implement individualized plans to address the unique needs and goals of shelter residents
• Provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and connect clients with essential services such as housing, healthcare, and employment assistance
• Conduct vulnerability assessments for potential guests and unhoused community members
• Work closely with shelter residents to identify and address barriers to housing and employment

• AA/AS in Human Services or related field required; BA/BS preferred
• Two years' experience in case management or related services, and/or lived experience required
• Passion for helping others and a desire to work in an organization that serves people who are experiencing poverty and houselessness
• Weekend work required
• English/Spanish bilingual preferred
