**Job Title:** Surgical Care Specialist
**Estimated Salary:** $60,000 - $80,000 per year
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Central Florida Oral Facial and Periodontal Surgery. As a Surgical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a surgical setting.
**Role and Responsibilities**- Interview patients: You will conduct thorough interviews with patients to obtain their health history and provide them with personalized care.
- Maintain records: You will accurately maintain patient records and prepare detailed oral reports to ensure continuity of care.
- Contribute to unit goals: You will work collaboratively with the team to achieve the goals of the unit by utilizing your contacts with individuals and community relationships to promote better understanding of health services.
- Medication administration: You will prepare, administer, and record medications as prescribed by the healthcare team.
- Vital signs monitoring: You will closely monitor vital signs to ensure the overall well-being of patients.
- Clinical preparation: You will assemble materials and equipment in preparation for clinical sessions and maintain adequate supplies to ensure smooth operations.
- Cleaning and maintenance: You will clean and maintain clinical equipment and dispose of used supplies correctly to prevent contamination and infection.
- Recovery and discharge: You will assist in the recovery and discharge of patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care during their stay.
You will also perform other duties as assigned by the management.
**Education and Experience**- Registered nurse license: A current state license is required for this role.
- BLS certification: BLS certification is mandatory for this position.
- ACLS certification: ACLS certification is preferred but not mandatory; however, you must be able to obtain it within 6 months of employment.
- Experience: At least two years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

- Observation skills: You should be able to observe patients' general physical condition to detect signs of abnormalities.
- Record-keeping skills: You should be able to record operations completely, accurately, legibly, and concisely.
- Communication skills: You should be able to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
- Tact and judgment: You should be able to exercise tact, initiative, and good judgment in your daily tasks.
- Multitasking and prioritization: You should be able to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
- Intravenous medication experience: You should have experience with intravenous medications.
