About the Role

Atrium Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing CT scans and assisting radiologists in invasive procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments, prepare them for procedures, and ensure accurate documentation of medical history.
  • Operate CT scanners and associated equipment with high proficiency, adhering to departmental protocols and radiation safety standards.
  • Recognize abnormal anatomy, evaluate image quality, and process additional images as instructed by radiologists.
  • Collaborate with other medical personnel, provide basic patient care, and respond to medical emergencies.
  • Maintain knowledge of radiation safety and infection control policies, report malfunctioning equipment, and participate in in-service classes.

Education and Certification:

  • Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology required.
  • ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire required in addition to current CPR certification.
