In your capacity as a Manufacturing Process Specialist, you will:- Exemplify safety leadership and promote our Zero & Beyond safety culture.
- Share your expertise by training and guiding others in the application of best practices.
- Assess and prioritize improvement opportunities based on risk/reward analysis.
- Champion Lean Sigma methodologies.
- Achieve and maintain process control results (CTQs & CTPs).
- Lead and inspire diverse teams across various organizational levels.
- Enhance yield, efficiency, and capacity of processes in alignment with strategic business goals.
- Develop, document, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes and products utilizing appropriate data and statistical tools.
- Understand and utilize control systems and instrumentation to improve process capabilities.
- Oversee the specification, procurement, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment and instrumentation, including capital cost justifications and related documentation.
Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor, providing hands-on troubleshooting of manufacturing processes and equipment to facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Ensure performance specifications and bills of materials for all current products are up to date. Perform Lean Facilitator duties as necessary to implement and sustain lean initiatives within your area of responsibility.
You will have the opportunity to pursue a LEAN SIGMA Greenbelt certification, which is expected to be completed within your first or second year.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical fields (other technical degrees may be considered with relevant experience; manufacturing experience is preferred).
A minimum of 5 years of experience is required.Demonstrated success in the design, re-design, installation, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes and equipment in a continuous operation environment.
A results-oriented individual with a proven history of success in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Strong project management skills are essential. Proven ability to apply DOE and SPC techniques (Six Sigma Greenbelt/Blackbelt experience is advantageous). Capable of managing and executing multiple complex tasks while effectively handling daily pressures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. Preferred qualifications include:- 2 years of experience in wire and cable manufacturing of thermoplastic or thermoset conductors.
- Project management training or certification.
