Position Overview:

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Filling Technician I for a contract opportunity. This role involves critical responsibilities in handling hazardous materials and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a range of semi-automated and manual filling machinery.
  • Utilize various industrial equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Accurately complete manufacturing documentation in accordance with ISO9001 standards.
  • Assist in staging raw materials, cleaning laboratory equipment, and supporting automated filling lines.

Training Requirements:

Individuals in this role must complete initial hazardous waste training within the first 30 days of employment. This training covers:

  • Identification of hazardous and solid waste.
  • Management of hazardous waste.
  • Recycling, treatment, and disposal procedures.
  • Emergency preparedness and pollution prevention.

Annual refresher training will be provided thereafter.


Qualifications:
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of the metric system.
  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
  • A minimum of 6 months experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.

Physical Demands:

This position requires constant standing and walking. The employee must be able to lift and/or move:

  • Up to 10 pounds regularly.
  • Up to 25 pounds frequently.
  • Up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED is required.


Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position on the second shift.
