Key Responsibilities- Provide maintenance support for capital projects, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to production.
- Order parts and equipment to coincide with scheduled maintenance activities, ensuring efficient completion.
- Maintain the condition and order of the plant shop, maintenance tools, and site assets.
- Support Process Safety Management (PSM) and location safety programs, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all equipment at the plant, utilizing predictive maintenance tools and data/analytics to detect and remedy future machine failures.
- Assist in the development, installation, inspection, and maintenance of new or enhanced mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
- Create, continually update, and train on preventative maintenance plans for various equipment.
- Identify opportunities and complete fabrication projects to improve plant processes.
- Maintain detailed asset and equipment records.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of industrial maintenance work experience or other related experience.
- Valid US driver's license.
- Ability to read blueprints, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and other technical documents.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Comfortable with technology and proficient in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience with metal fabrication, welding, grinding, use of plasma cutter and torch.
- Ability to work in a variety of areas (field, plant, warehouse), climb and/or work in elevated areas of 25 feet+, stand and sit for extended periods, work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work shift work and overtime hours, including nights and weekends during seasonal peaks to support production demand.
- Two-year or Associates Degree in Maintenance, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Electrical, or related field.
- Knowledge of production agriculture and associated machinery.
- Basic level of building electrical systems knowledge or electrician certification.
- Knowledge of security, materials handling equipment (i.e., conveyors, elevator legs, packaging equipment, etc.) or other mechanical/electrical systems.
- Knowledge of SAP Enterprise Asset Management module or equivalent.
- Millwright skills, especially relevant to the seed industry.
- Truck and forklift driving skills.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic repair and test equipment.
