About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Therapist to join our team at the Neurodiagnostic Institute and Advanced Treatment Center (NDI) in Indianapolis. As a Rehabilitation Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing rehabilitation services to patients with psychiatric illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individual patient treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Assess patient needs and interests to provide input into treatment plans and training programs.
  • Plan and direct various rehabilitative activities for individual and group participation in accordance with treatment plans.
  • Stimulate patient interest in activities to encourage participation and progress.
  • Advise and reinforce patients on acceptable social behavior.
  • Evaluate patient progress as measured against treatment goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • One (1) year work experience in rehabilitation services to developmental disabilities, mental handicap, and substance abusers.
  • Advanced knowledge of principles, practices, and methods of assessing therapeutic needs and providing rehabilitation services.
  • Specialized knowledge of symptoms and limitations of various mental and physical disabilities and ability to plan and execute effective rehabilitation methods.
  • Specialized knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines for the care, treatment, and rights of the mentally challenged.
  • Working knowledge of the role of other treatment disciplines such as psychology, social work, dietetics, and nursing and ability to integrate the disciplines into overall treatment plans.
  • Ability to formulate and implement individual treatment plans and rehabilitation programs and ensure the effective execution of plans and programs.
  • Ability to effectively assess and document patient needs and progress.
  • Ability to appropriately change or amend treatment plans to meet patient needs.
  • Effective communication skills.
