Job Opportunity

Speedway Motorsports is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Marketing and Promotion team as a Field Marketing Intern. This paid internship will provide hands-on experience in grass roots marketing and promotional activities, working closely with our team to implement and execute various events, fairs, and festivals in the greater Metro Atlanta area and throughout Georgia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage displays and collateral at events, including set-up and tear-down
  • Engage with fans and customers, generating consumer leads and representing Speedway Motorsports
  • Build and maintain a database of fan information, including contact details and preferences
  • Document and report on event outcomes, including attendance numbers, collateral distribution, and feedback
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Speedway Motorsports and key racing personalities, serving as a brand ambassador
  • Assist in general marketing efforts, including social media and event promotion
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a four-year college or university
  • Passionate about sports, motorsports, and/or sports marketing
  • High integrity and confidentiality
  • Result-oriented and creative, with strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, written, and verbal skills
  • Promotional experience and local market knowledge are a plus
Work Environment

As a Field Marketing Intern, you will work closely with our team to implement and execute various events, fairs, and festivals in the greater Metro Atlanta area and throughout Georgia. You will be required to work weekends and some overnight trips, with a flexible schedule and willingness to work unusual hours.

Physical Demands
  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands to handle or feel
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to see and hear in the normal range, with or without correction, and communicate verbally and in written form
  • Ability to work long hours and irregular schedules, including weekends and evenings
