Job Description

**Job Summary**

The Wood Companies is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by performing dimensional inspections of plastic parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform dimensional inspections of plastic parts to ensure they meet specifications
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
  • Conduct visual inspections to identify any defects or irregularities
  • Report non-compliant parts to the quality control team
  • Perform Bill of Materials (BOM) checks to ensure accuracy
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and plug gauges
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are compliant with ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Verify first piece and end of run parts to ensure quality
  • Develop and execute layouts and Process Performance and Productivity Analysis (PPAP) reports

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in quality control or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
