Position Overview:

The Exercise Physiologist plays a crucial role in collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide tailored exercise programs for patients. This position involves designing individualized routines that consider each patient's physical capabilities and limitations. You will offer guidance on risk factor modification and exercise therapy during the rehabilitation process, adhering to the organization's goals and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and oversee exercise programs, ensuring they align with patient needs and departmental objectives.
  • Adjust exercise routines safely to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families, aiding them in managing the effects of illness and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
  • Conduct accurate assessments of patients' vital signs and responses to exercise, responding appropriately to any concerns.
  • Maintain clear communication with healthcare team members regarding patient progress and care.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related discipline
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
