Fraud Specialist
At Fidelity Bank, we prioritize security and integrity to meet our customers' needs. Our fraud team plays a vital role in safeguarding the bank and its customers against fraudulent activities. We are seeking detail-oriented, collaborative individuals to help us maintain a safe and sound banking experience.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Identifying, monitoring, and mitigating risks associated with the Bank's BSA/AML and Fraud Programs.
- Triage alerts from the bank's fraud monitoring system and incoming referrals to determine the best course of action to minimize fraud risk and losses.
- Conducting comprehensive intake interviews with customers to gather detailed information regarding potential or alleged fraud.
- Identifying potentially suspicious or fraudulent activity and referring it to the BSA department in accordance with bank policy and the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Performing fraud investigations derived from escalated fraud alerts and other sources, and maintaining accurate and detailed investigations.
- Supporting and advising customers and bank personnel on potential fraud to mitigate risk and prevent loss.
- Maintaining a good working knowledge of various fraud schemes and characteristics of red flags.
- Other tasks include processing subpoena requests, check fraud affidavits, and working with other financial institutions or law enforcement to prevent and report fraud.
Requirements for the position include:
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- High-level analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify patterns or anomalies.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work late and/or flexible hours.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Six months relevant bank fraud, BSA/AML, or bank operations experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
